@EX0contralt0 typically Bass is sound as well a low frequency one and is made by a subwoofer by making a “low frequency wave” a tweeter is for high frequency the same but much smaller and makes high frequency waves the mid one speaker makes the frequencies between the tweeter and the subwoofer frequencies… and by far they are all speakers… for more information read wikipedia…

@EX0contralt0 Yes that is true. The most important part of the speaker is the Voice coil, Spider, and tensels. If there is a Double Stacked Spider. It will be more stiff but will produce more accurate movement for the speaker. The larger the tensels the more power that can go through it. But there would have to have a larger magnet. But will have to have more power to move due to the magnetic wave of the larger magnet. Also a Copper coil. But will produce more heat.

@Ravagar A bigger surround means that there is more room for excursion. Also this sub had some surface area.
If they would accualy make a good surround and cone for the subwoofer, it would accualy look good, the fact that it would produce more excursion with a thicker more bigger rubbery soround. This would problably only be a $50 Speaker.
