@leonardovieira909 But I hate macs and I use JULinux so I am not affected by this. Only when my customers force me to install XP on the laptop do I have to suffer.
mines a dv6809wm amd turion TL-60 2.1GHz 3gb ram GeForce7150m 128mb. mines dualbooted ubuntu and win7. never got winxp to work. but ubuntu is great. and it does say dv6800 on the bottom even though its a dv6809
@usacomputertec oh yeah if you wanna go through the trouble that laptop had, it was shipped with a fatal bios error to begin with… id rather play around with something more fun heh. but yeah im sure it runs if i really wanted to fire it up.
@coldlogic1 This is why dumpster computers are perfect for Linux. You can save a lot of money. I’ve never gone dumpster diving but I have to say if you do Linux is for you.
@usacomputertec Yes, but sometimes, these tools are capable of retrieving hardward information even though Windows is dumb enough not to look at it in the right location. But like you said, hardwares do vary from computers to computers.
@helblaze That’s easy. The found out the hard way that Vista sucks up all their computer’s power and they still wanted some form of Windows they felt good about.
I’ve had a terrible time dealing with nVidia graphics cards on HP machines. I have never been able to upgrade the graphics drivers (in windows) on my Touchsmart. You should have questioned why your customer wants to run a decade old operating system that will be completely discontinued soon.

i belive, that if you take the camera further away you will get a sharper image, and then you can just zoom back in!

@1AppleMaker Because if Windows can’t figure out what the hardware is usually these tools won’t either.
Dude try PC Wizard or EVEREST Extreme Edition (Home edition is free). These tools tell you everything you would need to know about your PC.
